Rana was admitted into practice in 2012 and has been practicing as a solicitor in the area of family law for 10 years. Rana has a passion for family law and prides herself on providing exceptional personal service by encouraging her clients to be actively involved in the resolution of their matters. Rana guides her client towards achieving amicable, practical, fair and cost effective solutions without the need to litigate wherever possible.

Rana is committed to assisting her clients in a manner that makes them feel comfortable and at ease. The basis of Rana’s practice is a solid theoretical knowledge which she uses to guide clients and craft strategic solutions to disputes that work.

Rana has extensive experience in matters relating to property division, parenting disputes, child support, spouse maintenance, Financial Agreements and divorce. She has acted for clients that reside in Australia and overseas.

A key component of her practice is in Care and Protection matters including those litigated through the Children’s Court where she has acted for parents in matters that involve the Department of Family and Community Services.

  • Acting and advising on the division of assets in property matters following the breakdown of a relationship, including matters that involve Trusts and overseas assets
  • Advising on and drafting Financial agreements including those entered into before the commencement of relationships, during relationships and after separation
  • Advising on Child Support matters including drafting Limited and Binding Child Support Agreements
  • Representing clients at mediation and at the Family and Federal Circuit Courts
  • Advising in matters involving domestic violence or allegations of violence
  • Advising and representing clients in care and protection matters including appearance work in that jurisdiction
