Laura joined the Public Law, Litigation and Aged Care team in 2017, after completing her legal traineeship with Russell Kennedy. Laura practices in the areas of administrative law and litigation, with a focus on the health, aged care, retirement villages and state government sectors. Laura has a background in property and employment law, and brings this experience to her role.
Acting for state government and private clients in coronial inquests and investigations.
Assisting clients to prepare for appearances at parliamentary inquiries, such as the recent inquiry into fire season preparedness (2016-2017, Parliament of Victoria).
Advising and acting on behalf of residential aged and home care providers in regulatory, risk management and compliance matters arising under the Aged Care Act 1997 (Cth).
Conducting general commercial litigation, particularly in the County Court of Victoria and the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Acting for the State of Victoria in matters arising under the Serious Sex Offenders (Detention and Supervision) Act 2009 (Vic).
Conducting due diligence and assisting to prepare due diligence reports in business acquisition.
