Kate is a dispute resolution practitioner who has acted for a broad range of clients in the banking and financial services, retail, manufacturing, insurance and property industries. Kate has experience in a wide range of litigation and disputes including in contractual, corporations, Australian Consumer Law and property/leasing disputes and all aspects of debt recovery proceedings. Kate also has experience in insolvency related matters.

Experience

  • Assisting clients with property, retail lease and commercial lease disputes including preparation for mediation at the Office of the Small Businesses Commissioner and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal

  • Advising on contractual disputes

  • Acting for creditors and liquidators in insolvency related proceedings

  • Assisting clients with Corporations Act matters including oppression proceedings

  • Assisting clients to resolve shareholder disputes

  • Representing clients in all Victorian Courts, VCAT and the Federal Court.
