Donna also has experience in residential and commercial property transactions and drafting various types of commercial agreements.

Experience

  • Acting for and advising various retirement village operators in Victoria and NSW in relation to acquisitions and dispositions of retirement villages and due diligence

  • Acting for and advising owners, operators and developers of retirement villages in Victoria and NSW including the preparation of resident contracts and other documents

  • Providing compliance advice to retirement village operators in Queensland, NSW, Victoria, ACT, Western Australia and Tasmania

  • Seconded to Lendlease Retirement Living (LLRL) for a period of 19 months to provide in-house legal advice relating to LLRL's contract standardisation project and assisting with the redrafting of various contracts within the Lendlease villages and re-contracting of over 1000 residents

  • Acting on behalf of vendors and purchasers in respect of the sale and acquisition of residential and commercial property

  • Acting for and advising a developer of land in Victoria in relation to land subdivision, preparing pro-forma sale contracts and restrictive covenants

  • Managing a team of paralegals dedicated to providing service to retirement village operators and supervising lawyers in relation to providing advice to retirement village operators

  • Managing a paralegal dedicated to providing service to a property developer client

  • In previous roles in NSW, acting for and advising developers of land and apartments including preparing pro-forma sale contracts and ancillary documents
