Bronwyn was the Director of Legal Services at Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA). Prior to that role Bronwyn was on secondment to Austrade amongst other things after serving as Corporate Counsel at Essential Energy for over a decade. Whilst at ASADA, Bronwyn was instrumental in drafting legislative amendments, giving evidence in Senate inquiries and attending Estimates; representing the agency in government and industry groups; and managing the provision of legal services and associated reporting for the agency (including litigation, investigations, complaints, debt recovery, FOI, privacy, contracting, procurement, policy drafting and negotiation, media, regulatory compliance and so on). While Bronwyn was at Essential Energy she dealt with NSW and Commonwealth legislation extensively, for while it was a NSW Statutory State Owned Corporation it was bound (by agreement) to comply with various Commonwealth legislation, such as that relating to privacy. The organisation also owned and dealt with Corporations Law entities. Bronwyn’s role included the provision of legal services, privacy and FOI duties, as well as document management. Bronwyn’s time at Essential Energy gave her extensive experience in the utility industry, including responsibility for Essential Water in Broken Hill, and in the related environmental duties and obligations that arise from having the second biggest electricity network in the world spread across regional NSW. Bronwyn is also a former elite athlete, having represented Australia in two sports. She has been a co-host of ABC Local Grandstand with Tim Gavel for over a decade, and is a board member of the Canberra Raiders NRL Club. She has served on several other boards and board committees, and enjoys continued involvement in charity and volunteer work.
