Andrew is the Chairperson of the Russell Kennedy Board. Andrew is a Law Institute Environment, Planning and Local Government Law Accredited Specialist. Andrew has particular skills in Water Law. His skills include major property and infrastructure projects with emphasis on negotiation skills and delivery of project outcomes.

Andrew was named Best Lawyers' 2014 Melbourne Water Law "Lawyer of the Year". He has been recognised by Best Lawyers for his expertise in Water Law since 2012, in Planning and Environment Law since 2017, and in Land Use and Zoning Law since 2020.

Experience

  • Advising government authorities on a wide range of environment, planning and local government matters relating to planning, water, environment and property law
  • Providing advice on commercial and infrastructure agreements
  • Advising on agreements relating to trade waste, water supply and reclaimed water
  • Advising on advocacy before the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Planning Panels and other forums and jurisdictions
  • Advising on Leases, licenses and related agreements for Crown Land, National and State Parks and government owned or managed land
  • Acting for government agencies and private clients in property transactions (including compulsory acquisitions)
  • Advising on EPA works approvals, licenses, negotiation and enforcement
  • Acting for industry bodies including VicWater and the Institute of Water Administration
