Russell Kennedy Lawyers bolsters its Construction Litigation team

Russell Kennedy Lawyers is delighted to announce the appointment of Jos Mulcahy as a Principal.

This article has been covered in Australasian Lawyer here.

Jos joins us from Ashurst where he has been practising principally in the areas of construction litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution in relation to major projects.

Jos has been practicing for almost 30 years and has particular experience working for clients at all levels of Government, large listed and private companies. Jos’ practice complements Russell Kennedy’s strong Government practice and the recent expansion of our construction and infrastructure offering.

In addition to his legal work, Jos is an active contributor to the construction sector, he is in his fifth year as the General Editor of the Australian Construction Law Bulletin and is Deputy Chair of the Construction and Infrastructure Committee of the Law Council for Victoria.

Also joining alongside Jos, is Associate Catherine Duong. Catherine and Jos have worked together for a number of years, we are confident this will facilitate their smooth transition to Russell Kennedy.

“I am delighted to be joining the Russell Kennedy team and am looking forward to hitting the ground running. It is particularly exciting to be part of a high calibre firm committed to developing its construction offering as I embark on this next phase of my career” said Jos Mulcahy.

Construction group leader, Leonard Warren is delighted with the appointment of Jos and says, “Jos is a great addition to our team, he has first rate expertise and a great reputation. His appointment further strengthens our Government and Construction litigation offerings and commitment to delivering the best outcomes for our clients”.

As a firm Russell Kennedy remains committed to its growth agenda and is focussed on growing capacity and capability in core industries, enhancing and facilitating opportunities for its clients, now and into the future. Russell Kennedy continues to expand in a commercial environment which has delivered significant challenges and opportunities for law firms.

“The appointment of Jos, Catherine and Samantha further demonstrates our commitment to recruiting top calibre talent to support Russell Kennedy’s future growth strategy” said Managing Director, Paul Gleeson.
