Russell Kennedy has appointed Michael Clohesy, Special Counsel, to lead their private client practice.
Michael is an experienced wills and estates lawyer, having led the Wills and Estates Team at Slater & Gordon before establishing his own firm, Clohesy Legal, in 2013. Michael brings his existing practice to complement Russell Kennedy’s substantial and long-standing practice in this field.
Rohan Harris, Principal, is delighted with Michael’s appointment:
“Michael is highly respected and brings with him the necessary skills to deliver high quality services and advice to our clients. Russell Kennedy provides comprehensive advice in private estate and trust law, estate disputes and personal and business succession planning. We are excited about what Michael will bring to our team.”
Paul Gleeson, Managing Director, believes Michael’s appointment demonstrates Russell Kennedy’s commitment to recruiting high-calibre talent in line with the firm’s growth strategy:
“With Michael’s appointment we continue to build on our areas of focus and develop our diversity of talent, having also just appointed Jos Mulcahy, Construction Principal, in May this year.”
Russell Kennedy remains committed to its growth agenda and is focussed on expanding its capacity and capability in core industries and enhancing and facilitating opportunities for its clients both now and in the future. The firm continues to expand within the commercial space, which has presented significant challenges and opportunities for law firms.
Michael started his career as a Teacher (primary, secondary and tertiary) before graduating from Melbourne University in 2005 and being admitted in 2007.
