Upcoming events:

RKWN 2018 Fundraiser – Supporting Beyond Blue

Russell Kennedy Women's Network (RKWN) is hosting a fundraiser for Beyond Blue on Thursday 29 November 2018.

The focus of the fundraiser will be on women and mental health, as women experience some mental health conditions at higher rates than men.  The RKWN shares Beyond Blue’s commitment to tackling stigma, prejudice and discrimination associated with mental illness and to break down the barriers that prevent people from seeking support.

 Leisel Jones

We are delighted to have Beyond Blue Ambassador and Olympic gold medallist, Leisel Jones OAM as guest speaker. Leisel will share how her successful swimming career did not make her immune to a decline in mental health, and her journey and commitment to wellbeing.

If you're unable to attend the fundraiser and would still like to support Beyond Blue, you can donate here.

100% of the proceeds of the fundraiser will be donated to Beyond Blue to be applied to community support services including the 24 hour hotline, web chat and email services.

Leisel will highlight the importance of these frontline services to assist people “to take the first step and get help”.

Beyond Blue aims to equip all Australians with the knowledge and skills to protect their own mental health, giving people the confidence to support those around them, and making anxiety, depression and suicide part of everyday conversations.

Behind Closed Doors and RKWN - Business Women's Connexions Evening

Donny Walford, Managing Director, behind closed doors together with the RKWN have great pleasure in inviting you to a Business Women's Connexions Evening on Tuesday 11 December 2018 at 5.30pm.

Click here to view the invitation and to register.

Our guest speaker for December will be Michele Levine, CEO of Roy Morgan.

With more than 30 years' experience as a researcher, Michele has been responsible for thousands of surveys, including many of the largest research projects ever undertaken in Australia, many of which continue to play a critically important part in shaping our society today.

With a fundamental belief in the empowering value of information, Michele was instrumental in the development and refinement of Roy Morgan Single Source, the world’s leading consumer study (based on in depth personal interviews with over 50,000 people in their homes each year) and, in 2010, the introduction of the Roy Morgan Business Survey.

Michele was ahead of her time in foreseeing the exponential growth of Big Data and, consequently the need for software which can manage and order massive volumes of Data  – as well as the need for highly trained analysts who can help make sense of it.

Join us to hear guest speaker Michele, meet the team from behind closed doors and Russell Kennedy Women's Network and network with like-minded women.
